ABOARD is the first study to invite women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer from across the country to share their experience with BRCA testing. Our hope for this project is that, with better understanding of the combined experience of women diagnosed with breast cancer and currently requesting and undergoing BRCA testing, we may improve genetic services and ultimately health and quality of life for people in the future.

This project is a collaboration between researchers at the University of South Florida, Aetna, and the national support organization Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE).

Participating includes agreeing to a one-time consent and filling out a survey about your BRCA testing experience. Participants can then log into the ABOARD website at anytime to get information about how many people are participating, study progress and links to updates about hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, webinars, conferences, etc.
